OVERVIEW

We were tasked with creating a content website on WordPress with a home page, a page focused on a specific topic using categories, 8-10 stories with 3-4 fully fleshed out, and various blocks. We had to include additional media types typically seen on real content sites such as videos, interactive infographics, and audio snippets. We also had to use tools that real media publications might include such as related story blocks, email newsletter sign-ups, etc. Lastly, we had to use plugins, widgets, and custom CSS creatively. I chose to make a content site with reviews of the coffee shops I’ve been to in Athens, Georgia.

Notes

Working on this website gave me a stronger grasp of full-site editing on WordPress. I could see myself adding to this website later as I discover more coffee shops in Athens! It would be a useful tool for people who want to read more detailed descriptions and reviews when choosing a cafe.
